Tanny collects the minimum it needs to tell you when to go outside. There is no advertising, no tracking, and nothing is sold to anyone.

Tanny does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, photos, contacts, health records, or anything from HealthKit.
Location is used for one purpose: fetching the UV forecast for where you are. Accuracy is deliberately reduced to roughly city level — Tanny never needs your exact position. You can decline location access entirely and pick your city from a list instead; the app works the same way.

Stores your profile and session history so they survive a device change. The session is anonymous — no email or password. Data is protected with row-level security so one user cannot read another's records. Supabase privacy policy

If you allow notifications, Tanny schedules them locally on your device: a reminder 20 minutes before a planned session, and an alert when your session time is up. No notification data leaves your phone, and there are no marketing pushes.
When a session is running, the countdown appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. This runs entirely on your device.
Data stays until you remove it. Settings → Reset all data clears your profile, plan and session history from the device. Deleting the app removes everything stored locally. To have any synced records deleted from our side, email info@tanny.app and we will remove them within 30 days.
Tanny is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Sun exposure schedules for minors should be discussed with a physician or guardian.
Depending on where you live (including under Türkiye's KVKK and the EU's GDPR) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Write to info@tanny.app and we will respond within 30 days.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page will be updated and the change will be noted in the app's release notes.
